We have been providing property management services since 2001, so have significant experience in the options available for furnishing properties on behalf of our clients.

Rental furniture has traditionally been the most popular choice for providing short term furniture packages, for instance to assist employees moving into a property prior to the arrival of their shipment, and remains a convenient solution for interim requirements.

Developing a cost effective alternative

However, we noticed there was a need for a more cost effective response to longer term needs of 6 months or more, and our clients also requested a more tailored approach which could be applied across a number of properties, so that employees receive an identical service.

To address these needs we developed a furniture purchase service, which has been adopted by a number of our clients with short term or project based assignees in the UK. Our process is to agree with each client both the type and quality of items to be provided to each property, and this can be entirely bespoke to suit the assignee population. For instance, for some project based teams from the sub-continent, we have supplied specific Indian cookware and utensils to help the assignees settle in quickly.

Once the list of items and furnishings has been agreed, Icon entirely manages the acquisition, installation and rotation of the furniture, dressing new properties as they are brought into management and arranging maintenance or replacement of any damaged items.
